TAMBOPATA JUNGLE 4 DAYS
DAY 1: CUSCO – PUERTO MALDONADO – ECO LODGE
We will pick up you at Puerto Maldonado airport and transfer to the city. From there we’ll take you to Puerto Pastora where you will receive a typical drink of the region and we begin our full day of adventure. We will go up the Madre de Dios River for 6 hours on private motorized canoe to shelter Pariamanu Macaw. Following the arrival time, we will have lunch on board.
During the stay, we will have the chance to see many species of birds such as herons (large and small), kingfishers, wild ducks, hawks, eagles, parrots, caimans, enjoying the sun . We camp on the beach Pariamanu, where we will have dinner. Then we will explore with our canoes and our flashlights beaches, and as the jungle wakes up frequently at night, we will see alligators, birds and more. We spend the night in a very comfortable camp.
DAY 2: REFUGE PARIAMANU MACAW – HIKING – LODGE
Soon after breakfast, we will continue our day for 3 hours, towards the refuge Pariamanu Macaw, where we will hike on small paths, to find some animals and enjoy the variety of flowers and plants medicinal, exotic palms, huge trees, insects, fungi, etc … We will go to our second camp, which will be the refuge Pariamanu Macaw, where we will have lunch and where we will enjoy a well deserved rest. According to ours available to us, we will have a swim in the safe waters, where we will visit indigenous people and we appreciate their ancestral way of life in harmony with nature. Back at our camp we have dinner before our night hike, we’ll see the birds that gather to eat salt and clay.
DAY 3: COLPA OF GUACAMAYOS – SMALL ALLIGATOR LAKE – LODGE
In the morning we will go to Guacamayos where we will see the colorful parrots congregate to eat the clay. It is an unforgettable experience. After that, we will see a small lake called the “Alligator Lake,” where we can see a lot of birds and if possible, fishing. Then we will go to a special place, where we can swim in our envy. We camp near the city, where we will have dinner. Later, we will make a campfire and the guide will tell us some stories about mysterious jungle. We spend the night watching the stars in our comfortable camp.
DAY 4 – BUNGALOW – PUERTO MALDONADO – AIRPORT
After our breakfast, transfer to the city of Puerto Maldonado, then to the airport.
